TubeWeaver Privacy Policy
Last updated: December 5, 2025

1. Introduction

TubeWeaver is a mobile application developed by CyprNet Solutions, LLC (“CyprNet Solutions”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) that helps users create and manage smart YouTube playlists using custom rules and filters.

This Privacy Policy explains how TubeWeaver uses and protects information obtained through YouTube API Services and from your device. It applies only to the TubeWeaver application and not to other CyprNet Solutions websites, software, or services.

By using TubeWeaver, you agree to this Privacy Policy, the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy:

• YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms
• Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

TubeWeaver is not endorsed by or officially associated with YouTube or Google.

2. Information We Access and Use

2.1 YouTube account and channel information

When you sign in and authorize TubeWeaver via Google’s OAuth process, the app may access the following information, depending on the permissions (scopes) you grant:

• Your YouTube channel ID and basic channel info (such as title and thumbnail)
• Your playlists and playlist metadata (IDs, titles, descriptions)
• Your subscriptions (the channels you subscribe to), including channel IDs, names, descriptions, and thumbnails

TubeWeaver does not access or store your YouTube or Google password.

2.2 Video metadata

To evaluate rules, previews, and scheduled runs, TubeWeaver may retrieve metadata about YouTube videos, including:

• Video ID and public URL
• Title and description
• Channel ID and channel title
• Thumbnails
• Published date and time
• Video duration
• View counts and like counts
• Category ID and tags, where available

2.3 App configuration and usage data (local only)

To provide its functionality, TubeWeaver stores configuration and usage data on your device, such as:

• Rules and filters you define (sources, search terms, categories, scheduling, maximum results, etc.)
• Rule run snapshots, including:
  – “Candidates”: all videos returned for a given rule run
  – “Matched”: the subset of videos that met your filters
• A local cache of your subscriptions (to reduce repeated API calls)
• Diagnostic sync logs that summarize rule runs (for example, how many videos were added or skipped, timestamps, and basic status)
• App settings such as theme, default categories, content rating preference, and channel groups

All of the above are stored locally on your device (for example, in a local database). We do not copy these local data sets to our own servers.

2.4 Technical information

TubeWeaver may maintain basic technical or diagnostic information locally for correct operation and quota awareness, such as:

• Timestamps of rule runs and previews
• Approximate API request and quota usage per session or rule

TubeWeaver does not collect location, contacts, SMS, or other sensitive device data.

3. How We Use the Information

We use the information described above solely to provide and improve the TubeWeaver app, including:

• Building and running rules to discover videos that match your criteria (subscriptions, channels, search queries, filters, etc.)
• Managing playlists on your behalf, when authorized, by:
  – Finding or creating a target playlist
  – Adding selected or matching videos to that playlist
• Letting you preview results and manually select which videos to add
• Maintaining a local History of rule runs and a Watch list of matched videos so you can revisit, export, or mark videos as done
• Running scheduled rule checks in the background according to the schedule settings you configure
• Tracking approximate usage of the YouTube Data API to stay within quota limits and provide basic diagnostics

We do not use your data for advertising, user profiling, or selling to third parties.

4. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion

4.1 Where your data is stored

All TubeWeaver app data (rules, snapshots, logs, cached subscriptions, settings) are stored locally on your device.

We do not operate a backend service that stores or replicates this app data on our own servers.

YouTube and Google may store data separately as part of their normal operation when you use their services. Their handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and related terms.

4.2 How long we keep data

Locally on your device:

• Rules and settings remain until you clear the app data or uninstall TubeWeaver.
• History snapshots and logs remain until you delete them individually or use the delete options in Settings.
• Cached subscriptions remain to improve performance and reduce repeated calls to the YouTube API, and are cleared if you delete TubeWeaver’s local data or uninstall the app.

We do not intentionally retain local TubeWeaver data longer than necessary for the app’s features.

4.3 How you can delete your data

You have several ways to remove TubeWeaver data:

• Within the app:

  – Delete specific history entries from the History tab.
  – Remove individual videos from the Watch tab (which also removes them from the matched list of their associated run snapshots).
  – Use Settings → Account → “Delete TubeWeaver YouTube data on this device” to clear:

     • Rule run snapshots (Results, History, Watch)
    • Sync logs
    • Cached subscriptions
    • On your device:

  – Uninstalling TubeWeaver removes all of the app’s local data from that device.

These actions affect data stored by the TubeWeaver app. They do not delete your YouTube playlists, videos, or channel data, except when you explicitly use TubeWeaver to add videos to a playlist on your behalf.

5. Access, Consent, and Revocation

5.1 OAuth access and scopes

TubeWeaver uses Google’s OAuth 2.0 sign‑in flow to request permission to access your YouTube account data. You will see the app name and the scopes requested and can decide whether to grant or deny access. TubeWeaver only operates with the scopes you approve.

We do not see or store your Google or YouTube password. Instead, an access token provided by Google is stored on your device to authenticate API calls.

5.2 How to revoke access

You can revoke TubeWeaver’s access at any time:

• In TubeWeaver:
  – Use Settings → Account → “Sign out of YouTube” to clear stored tokens and disconnect TubeWeaver on your device.
• In your Google Account:
  – Go to your Google Account security settings and remove TubeWeaver from “Third‑party access” or similar sections.

After revocation, TubeWeaver cannot access your YouTube data until you choose to sign in and authorize it again.

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

6.1 We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or YouTube data to third parties.

6.2 Limited sharing scenarios

Data may be shared in these limited situations:

• With YouTube/Google, whenever TubeWeaver calls YouTube API Services on your behalf.
• With other apps you explicitly choose through Android’s share sheet, for example when you export an HTML report of history results and send it via email or save it to cloud storage.
• When required by law, if we must comply with a valid legal process or protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not expose a public API for TubeWeaver data, and we do not provide bulk data access to third parties.

7. Children’s Privacy

TubeWeaver is designed for adult users managing their own YouTube accounts and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law. If you believe that a child has used TubeWeaver with your account in a way that conflicts with this section, please adjust your usage and contact us so we can help address the issue.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect TubeWeaver’s local data and the integrity of its communication with YouTube API Services, including:

• Using HTTPS for API calls
• Avoiding storage of YouTube/Google login credentials
• Relying on the device’s secure storage mechanisms for tokens where available

No application can guarantee perfect security, but we design TubeWeaver to minimize the amount and sensitivity of stored data and to follow industry best practices.

9. Relationship to CyprNet Solutions Privacy Policy

This TubeWeaver‑specific Privacy Policy supplements the broader CyprNet Solutions Privacy Policy, which applies to our website, memberships, licensing, and other software offerings:

• CyprNet Solutions Privacy Policy: https://www.cyprnetsolutions.com/privacy-policy

If there is any conflict between this TubeWeaver Privacy Policy and the general CyprNet Solutions Privacy Policy with respect to TubeWeaver, this TubeWeaver policy will control for the TubeWeaver app.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features, legal requirements, or changes in how TubeWeaver uses data. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of TubeWeaver after any update means you accept the updated policy.
